Hi, I'm Mavis! My name is pronounced with the "A" like in "apple."I'm a full-time LGBTQIA+ content creator, VTuber, and digital artist from Puerto Rico! I currently live in the US mainland with my chosen family and our two cats.I am autistic with ADHD, as well as disabled and chronically ill.I'm Taíno (Arawak), and in the process of reconnecting with my heritage! I'm currently re-learning Spanish, but I am also learning Taíno and Japanese.I am proudly Two-Spirit, but I also identify as non-binary and genderfluid. Content

Streaming is my passion and I hope to do it for as long as I can! I stream Art, Pokémon (and other Nintendo franchises), and Farming Simulator games on Twitch. I sometimes stream language-learning and chat with my community while watching videos, usually of ASMR cooking.My streams are often described as "comfy and chaotic," or "cozy yet cursed" with a dash of magical and flirty fun. Viewers can trigger redeems with channel points to throw things at me, or make me bald for a short period of time.I began streaming in December 2020. I began taking streaming more seriously when I was laid off from my job during the COVID-19 pandemic. I achieved Twitch Partner in April 2023.I've learned a lot throughout my content creation journey, so I often post accessible tips and information for other content creators on my social media pages.As a content creator I have raised over $5,000 for charity, working with organizations such as Hope for the Day, Trans Empowerment Project, and Lupus Foundation of America. In addition to major charities, I've also raised money for humanitarian aid for the people of Ukraine, and mutual aid for individuals within my community who were in need (rent, food, etc).

Hobbies & Interests

My all-time favorite video game is Deltarune, but I enjoy a plethora of other games. My taste in games I like is pretty extensive; however, my current most played games are Pokémon Scarlet/Violet, Elden Ring, Fortnite, and Minecraft.Pokémon is one of my special interests! I played Pokémon Red as my first Pokémon game when I was just 6 years old. My favorite Pokémon is Clefairy, and Fairy type has been my favorite type since Gen 6 (X/Y).My favorite anime is the 90s Sailor Moon, which has inspired most of my aesthetic and VTuber lore. I love 80s and 90s anime, and western animation.My favorite colors are purple, and a very specific shade of blue: #0F0062, the same color as Rouxls Kaard from Deltarune. I have this hex code memorized by heart.Miscellaneous hobbies of mine include crochet, voice acting, drawing, writing fanfiction, and music. My favorite instrument is the tenor saxophone (an instrument I hope to pick up again someday), and I'm currently learning how to play the lyre.I'm a mezzo-soprano vocalist. I want to perform and make my own music someday, but I suffer from terrible stage fright.

Activism

My community is safe and welcoming to the BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. I am also an advocate for disabilities, accessibility, and mental health. I often discuss my experience being autistic with ADHD (AuDHD) and do my best to make people feel welcomed and accepted for who they are.My community and its rules reflect my core values; my moderation team and I take very firm anti-bigotry stances. While people of all identities are welcome in my space, the safety of BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, especially trans people of color, comes first.I am an open supporter of #LandBack, #BlackLivesMatter, and #StopAsianHate. In addition, I do my best to bring awareness to issues that Indigenous peoples face to this day.My identity is a core part of my content. I want to be proud of who I am and I refuse to hide or make myself smaller, quieter, or less visible. I want to show the world that trans people of color can thrive, succeed, and achieve the happiness they deserve.My goal is to create a safe space for marginalized identities, and show everyone what I'm made of while standing up for what's right.

💜 What tools do you use to make your art?

I use Clip Studio Paint EX with an XP Pen Artist 15.6 Pro tablet! My tablet is HUGE, so I recommend starting with something smaller if you're a beginner. I also have an iPad Pro (12.9in) with an Apple Pencil. I use Clip Studio on iOS.

💜 What brushes do you use when you draw?

It really depends on what I'm doing! I download a lot of brushes from Clip Studio Assets. For my sketches and linework, I use my personal brush set. You can download the brushes I use for free!

💜 How long have you been drawing?

I was born in 1991 and I've been drawing since I could pick up a writing utensil. However, today I prefer digital art over drawing on paper. Digital art feels more accessible and works better for me as a disabled artist!

💜 How long have you been streaming?

My first ever Twitch stream was in December 2020. I became a full-time content creator after I was laid off during the COVID-19 pandemic. After posting a TikTok skit about being Genderfluid with my first VTuber model, it went viral and I achieved drastic growth. I decided to stick with streaming since!

💜 What streaming software do you use?

I use OBS Studio to broadcast on Twitch. Additional programs I use are BikuBot, StreamLabels, Spotify, and Mix It Up. I use CapCut for video editing.

💜 Can I reupload your work with credit?

Please do not reupload my work on any platform, even with credit, unless you are a client sharing work you've commissioned from me. Feel free to use in-site features such as reblogging, story shares, and other features that boost my original posts!

💜 Do you take commissions?

Yes! If you're interested in commissioning me, check out my VGen. VGen makes commissioning easier for both artists and clients. I do not take commissions via DMs.

💜 Are you available for collabs/art trades?

Thank you for your interest, but I keep these to friends only! I usually don't have time for collabs/trades, as I focus on my personal art and commissions. I work often, so I can't make time for everything I'd love to do.

💜 Are you available for stream collabs?

I currently collab only with my friends and teammates (The Four Directions, Technicolor, The Lunar Court), however I am open to working with others if we have spoken before. I will not do "blind" collabs. Brands are more than welcome to contact me if they are interested in working with me.

💜 What software do you use for VTubing?

[ ★★★★★ Experience | ★★★★★ Bluntness ]The Kawaii Tarot is a super cute and simplistic deck. It's not very blunt, and it's more focused on aesthetics than sending a message that will rattle you and light a fire under your rear. I love using it for more simpler questions or asking something less serious. This is a good, lighthearted deck and great for beginners.

Elemental Power Tarot

[ ★★★★★ Experience | ★★★★★ Bluntness ]This deck is the deck I have used the most often, especially in my personal craft and when working with my deities. This deck is VERY direct and its honesty can come off as brutal at times. It will give you the straight facts and call you out. It will tell you things you've suppressed, have been avoiding, and/or running from. It is another "tell you what you don't want to hear" deck.I recommend this deck for when you're looking for serious answers and finding deeper truths in a situation. More often than not, it's brought things to light that were not considered, noticed, or realized during many readings. I've used this deck for relationship advice, navigating difficult situations, managing grief, healing from trauma, and a lot more.

[ ★★★★★ Experience | ★★★★★ Bluntness ]The Mermaid Tarot deck is beautifully diverse. Its imagery is very inclusive, and references merfolk from all parts of the world and its different cultures. It is also body inclusive. For this reason, it's one of my favorite decks; I want to use it more often. It is average in terms of its honesty and directness, and isn't often blunt unless used for more serious readings.

This is a deck made by queer people, for queer people- and it is EXTREMELY inclusive of queer and trans people of color. [ ★★★★★ Experience | ★★★★★ Bluntness ]Oracle Cards are different from Tarot Cards. Oracle cards tend to be free flowing and vary in their messaging and artistic design. There are many different types of cards available; some feature simple imagery or words, and others may be complex in design. This deck is fairly average in terms of being direct, and it really depends on what you ask of it. However, it's one of my stronger decks due to its connection with lunar themes.

Boundaries

As much as I am a content creator, I am also a person behind the avatar and screen! It's very important to be respectful to others online, and respect their boundaries.While my boundaries may come off as rigid and possibly intimidating, please understand that they are nothing personal and just a way for me to remain safe online.

Public Interactions & Social Media

- Do not interact with me or my content if you are under the age of 18. I have zero interest in interacting with children online. My content is not for minors, and never will be; if you are under 18, you should not be interacting with my accounts, period. I can and will block minors on sight.- I block extremely liberally online and curate my experience to reduce stress to a reasonable extent. It's best to avoid taking a block from me personally. At the very least, it just means I don't want to see what you post or interact with you, and nothing beyond that. If I am blocked first, I will block back.- It's not my job to teach others how to behave. If you cannot respect boundaries or I have to ask you to stop doing something more than once, I will block you and remove you from my spaces. I have engaged in mutual aid and I do not discourage discussion of certain issues within my spaces. I also make it very clear where I stand on certain topics and issues.- My views and values are not up for debate. I will not engage with bigots or reactionaries, and bigotry is unwelcome around me or within any of my spaces. I support Black people, Indigenous peoples, and other people of color. I support transgender people and the rest of the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe in Black liberation, Indigenous sovereignty, freeing Palestine, and Land Back. If you are right-wing and/or believe that certain groups do not deserve healthcare, basic human rights, or respect, block me.- Do not invite me to talk shows or podcasts to discuss my personal or political views, especially if I have never spoken with you beforehand. Streams

- Content Creation & Art are my full-time jobs and what I do to pay my bills. While I do act friendly and personable toward viewers/followers, including platonic acts of affection or compliments, I prefer to keep a professional relationship with them. I have a LOT of viewers and followers; it's impossible for me to be friends with or interact with every single one all the time.- Being a VTuber/Virtual Content Creator does not make me a fictional character. Yes, it's fun to pretend to be the character of the avatar, but I am a real person behind the avatar. Please respect me and my autonomy.- Do not ask me to collab/stream with you if we have never spoken. I only collab with people I am familiar with or feel comfortable with. I vet every person I interact with very cautiously for my own personal safety. If you're interested in a collab, be genuine and honest about your intentions. If I feel comfortable, we can move forward and work on seeing how we vibe off-stream.- Do not beg or demand me to promote you in any way. I will promote or shout out individuals of my own choice.

Art & Media

- Unless you are a client of mine that has purchased commissioned work from me, do not repost (reupload) my artwork on YOUR page. This does include if you give credit; if you do not have my permission, do not repost (retweets/platform "reblogs" are okay). Failure to respect this will result in me going straight to the website/platform administration and filing a removal request. I am not going to ask you nicely to remove it; respect artists, their copyright, and their work.- Don't make weird or sexual comments, jokes, or innuendos toward me or about my artwork. If something I post is not intended to be sexual, then don't sexualize it. There's a time and place for specific comments, and making random lewd remarks/responses is not it.- I do have boundaries regarding fan/gift art.
